Rick’s Tips
Tip #12.
Keep your darts clean. and they will throw better and last longer.
Skin acid, beer, popcorn butter, pretzel salt, potato chip grease.. all of these add up to make your darts slick, and downright yucky!
Clean your darts often with a detergent cleaner to remove oils, salt, and dirt. That salty grease layer is what eventually corrodes away the finish and grip on your darts.
Windex or similar cleaners work well. At league or tournaments, small sealed packets with alcohol pads or finger-cleaning wipes are convenient. Never use metal polish to clean darts, as they will make the finish too smooth and slippery. Clean darts, don’t polish them.
